Apple 'Hawthornden'


Old Scottish cooking variety introduced c1780. Very pretty and delicately coloured. Pale green/ yellow with a light pink flush. Good texture and pleasant flavour. Very popular in Victorian times. Originates from Hawthornden Castle within the Roslin Conservation Area.
