Introduced from France in 1820, this is a good hardy mid-season dessert pear tree of upright form and with good resistance to disease and late frosts.Self-sterile so will require a pollinator. The fruit are russet-skinned,medium sized, juicy and sweet with a hint of rose. Pretty white blossom in spring and stunning red glossy autumn foliage. Max 3m.
