Plum 'Belle de Louvain'

Introduced from Belgium in 1845, this is a very attractive large purple/ red cooking plum with a firm texture a pleasant sweet flavour. A strong, vigorous and robust tree which produces a good yield and is fully hardy and self-fertile. Excellent disease and frost resistance, making it an ideal choice for northern locations. Max 3-3.5m.
