Tibetan Cherry. Introduced to Britain in 1908 by Ernest Wilson. Small, deciduous, fully-hardy tree with magnificent, rich mahogany coloured bark. An elegant, rare and unusual choice for a specimen tree and suitable for all sizes of gardens, due to its upright form. Truly one for the collector. Exceptional winter interest due to the rich, warm tones of its beautiful bark. Fine white blossom in spring, more delicate and understated than the popular flowering cherries and small willow-like leaves, dark green in summer turning red and gold in autumn. Max 5-7m after 20yrs.
