Sambucus nigra 'Black Beauty'

Black Elder. A new variety with intensely dark burgundy/ purple foliage and clusters of deep red buds opening to sweetly scented rose pink flowers in summer and shiny purple/ black berries in autumn which are very attractive to birds. The foliage colour fades out in autumn to a beautiful soft deep pink. A stunning ornamental suitable for any moist well drained soil and full sun for the best colour. Fully hardy and easily trimmed to desired size in early spring. Max 3m x 2m.
