Sorbus 'Autumn Spire'

Ornamental Rowan. This unusual and highly ornamental rowan tree is perfect for the smaller garden. Columnar in shape, it requires very little space to provide a great display. Clusters of white flowers in spring are followed by deep green pinnate foliage in summer. However in autumn, this little tree comes into a league all of its own with large clusters of vibrant orange berries and autumn foliage in brilliant reds, golds and purples. Provides a valuable resource for wildlife, extremely hardy and suitable for most soils in full sun or partial shade. This is a new variety, discovered recently in Co Kildare, Ireland and is a fastigiate form of Joseph Rock.
